Gracie Sleeper, Reporter

One thing you should know about Gracie Sleeper is that she just likes to act like a kid sometimes. She enjoys watching cartoons often, and also gets joy out of singing and dancing. Gracie is a sophomore at West Linn High School. The reason she chose to be on Amplifier is that she simply likes to write. Like a lot of skilled writers, Gracie is able to express her opinion more openly through writing. In her free time, Gracie likes to learn more about theater, listen to music and read. This summer, she went to Sunriver and attended a Saliva rock concert. Despite initial perceptions of Gracie, her favorite type of music is rock and metal. Starting her sophomore year, Gracie is excited about the new possibilities and increased freedom in contrast to freshman year. In her opinion, freshman year was a lot less work, but this year she feels like she knows the school a lot better and has more friends. Her favorite class this year is Psychology, as she wants to pursue that field of work after schooling.

Southeast Portland’s Sunnyside neighborhood protests give bad image of the LGBT community

Gracie Sleeper, Staff Reporter
November 3, 2011

We have to admit it – it’s a little strange that a conservative church would purchase a building in the middle of a mostly liberal Portland neighborhood. Clashing is expected, but sometimes it goes...
