Over the years, some words that i have learned to describe high school are fun, stressful or a struggle. For Ashley she has felt all these words throughout her high school experience. High School is full of many ups and downs. Ashley Nord is only halfway through her freshman year and she already knows this. Faced with many personal issues this year, she still figured out a way to think about writing and getting an ‘A’ in her photography class. “I am very interested in writing and photography,” Nord said. She loves to watch reporters on television and learn how to write well written reports on issues in the world. “I love watching the reporters at football games, it looks so fun.”

Nord is a kind and generous person who always looks for the good in people. When she's not at school, she's hanging out with her friends or family and having an amazing and positive time. “If I didn't have my friends and family to push me in the right direction, I don't know what I would be doing,” Nord said.

Using her friends and family as inspiration, Nord incorporates them into another aspect of her life: creative writing. Nord has always loved writing creative stories. When she was little, she wrote many songs and short stories. She’d even write stories with her grandparents on long road trips back home. “I love exploring life and making people feel happy,” Nord said. “I try to be my best self and I can't wait to see what life has to offer.”
