Coachella brings art and music to its indie fan base
Indio California’s yearly art and music festival excites alternative music fans.
Every year since 1999, people all around the U.S. flock towards Indio, Cal. where one of the most popular music and arts festival, known as Coachella, is held. For featuring roughly 160 performers, Coachella spans a short six days on the weekends of April 11-13 and April 18-20.
Due to its fame and popularity, general admission has already sold out. If you have tickets, be sure you know the layout of the festival, be prepared for the crowds and most importantly, go to where you’re going as early as possible.
This spring Coachella will feature many pop headliners like Pharrell Williams, Lana Del Rey, Lorde and Ellie Goulding. Famous alternative groups like Arcade fire, MGMT, Grouplove and Cage the Elephant are also being awaited by crazed fans.
Even though general admission is sold out, people still buy tickets that are going to sell right before the festival. An easier option is to buy secondhand tickets from websites like Vividseats and Stubhub. If you couldn’t purchase tickets early, you need to take your chances with more expensive, picked-over ticket options.
