Despite raucous crowd, Lions offense sputters

On Feb. 9 the West Linn Lions (16-5, 6-1 Three Rivers League) battled the visiting Lake Oswego Lakers (16-5, 6-1 Three Rivers League) in a game that had TRL title implications. The Lakers gained the lead at the half and used a time-killing, possession style offense to grind the clock down, ensuring a 52-39 victory.

The Lions went 12 for 42 from the field and scored only eight points in the second quarter and nine in the third. The leading scorers for the Lions were Devon Hawkins, junior, and Shearmire, each chipping in nine. The leading scorer for the Lakers was T.J.  Dorado, senior, with 13 points.
