Homecoming football game brings royalty, green and gold, and a win

On Oct. 5, the football team beat the Tualatin Timberwolves 37-0

West Linn fans wore green and gold to support the high school for the 2023-24 homecoming football game on Thursday, October 5th at the high school. The varsity football team played against Tualatin High School’s football team.

The final score was 37-0, with the Lions as the victors. The Lions beat the competition, as the Tualatin Timberwolves were unable to get within 25 yards of the endzone the entire game. Andrew Malos, junior, plays for the football team.

“We put them zero on the scoreboard,” Malos said. “There’s no better feeling than that.”

Additionally, at half-time, the West Linn High School dance team performed and the Homecoming royalty was announced.

The football team’s next game is on Oct. 20. They will be playing vs. Lakeridge High School.
