M.A.P. Tonkin For the Love of Schools run will be held the first Sunday in June

For the fourth year in a row, M.A.P is hosting a 5k, 10k and half marathon. The race is called “Tonkin For the Love of Schools run” and helps raise money to go towards our school district and into our music and arts programs. Music and Art Partners raised $3,000 in their fundraiser Tonkin For the Love of Schools Challenge fun run last year.. Tonkin For the Love of Schools run will take place June 7. The run brought 900 runners to last years race and hope to bring even more this year. M.A.P also brings around 150 volunteers for the race each year. 100% of the proceeds go into school program through M.A.P. The money also goes into helping restore their grant funds for 2016. The race begins at Wilsonville Audi and continues through Wilsonville depending on how far you are running. By supporting this program M.A.P will be able to replenish their grants for next school year. M.A.P.s has donated to West Linn High School’s Amplifier student ran paper and also our choir and acting programs.
Music and Arts Partners is an independent, volunteer, nonprofit organization that works to fill the funding gaps for arts and music in the West Linn – Wilsonville School District. M.A.P brings around $33,000 for school funding every year. M.A.P’s brings exceptional support to the music and arts programs throughout the district. They raise money through fundraisers like Tonkin For the Love of Schools and also through the Dollar for the Arts program. They encourage every student to donate one dollar to M.A.P with the promise of enriching their education through music and arts.
Your donation will support the student journalists of West Linn High School. Your contribution will allow us to continue to produce quality content by purchasing equipment, software, and continuing to host our website on School Newspapers Online (SNO). Additionally, donations will go towards paying for the physical editions of our Amplifier. Donations of $20 dollars (as of Oct. 15, 2025) or more will receive a subscription to our Amplifier, which will be mailed to the donator's address (donations made with the intention of purchasing a subscription CANNOT be anonymous).
