WLHS Administration releases statement following charges pressed against teacher Jonathan Peachey

Following charges pressed against West Linn High School Spanish teacher, Jonathan Peachey, principal Kevin Mills has released the following statement in an email:
“The Lake Oswego Police Department has reported that a West Linn High School teacher, Jonathan Peachey, was arrested on Tuesday, September 29th at 9:08 a.m. According to the report, Mr. Peachey was arrested for Sex Abuse 3, Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor, and Official Misconduct.
Lake Oswego Police request that anyone with additional information about these incidents or additional incidents contact Detective Lee Ferguson at 503-635-0238.
The West Linn-Wilsonville School District is cooperating with the investigation. Mr. Peachey has been placed on administrative leave.
Mr. Peachey has been a teacher in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District for 12 years. He teaches Spanish and English Language Development. Mr. Peachey is also an advisor to the Ski Club and Link Crew.
We are very concerned about these charges and will do all we can to support students and staff. Counselors will be available to support students as needed.
