West Linn Lions come out victorious over Central Catholic

The West Linn Lions Varsity Baseball team (5-4) defeated Central Catholic (5-2-1) 14-1 April 3, at home ending the game with the mercy rule.

After scoring a run in the bottom of the second, the Lions opened up the floodgates in the bottom of the third with six runs. Karsen Lindell, junior, drove in three runs followed by a two RBI single by Jackson Brooke, senior. The Lions scored again, with West Linn emerging on top 7-1 going into the fourth inning.

Central Catholic countered West Linn with one run in the fourth.

Lindell hit a home run followed by another one by William Matthiessen, sophomore, in the bottom of the fourth.

The Lions play McNary Celtics Thursday, April 7, at 5 p.m. at West Linn High School
