Emily, better known Taylor, McDee, or Happy Meal, has been working on the Amplifier staff since freshman year. Her favorite thing about it is the parties, the friends, and the funny memories. She has been passionate about writing since she could pick up a pen. When Emily isn’t buried in a stack of pending articles, she enjoys listening to music, riding her horse, writing poems, songs and short stories, skiing, and hanging out with friends. Emily could see herself having a career in journalism, although dream jobs include becoming a stunt double, EMT, or the next CEO of Facebook.

Emily has a horse named Dude that she competes with on the local Hunter/Jumper circuit in the summer. She is on the Varsity high school ski team and her favorite season, hands-down, is winter. She loves sparkles and Christmas time. Her favorite place to travel is Wailua, Hawaii, where some of her family lives. Emily may be only five feet tall, but she is full of personality and good laughs. Emily’s favorite artists include Taylor Swift, The Fray, Mac Miller, Bob Marley and Jack Johnson. Her favorite color is purple. She is a Sagittarius.
