Freshman photographers find feeling

Not to exhaust the sayings many of us have heard in the past years, but the sentiment rings true: the pandemic allowed time for many students to reflect on themselves and their surroundings.

Students, now back at school, take the opportunity to express themselves. In the case of Claire Johnson, freshman, that was her photography class.

“My overall idea for the project was ‘Art as therapy’. I wanted to show how expressing and releasing hard emotions through outlets like art can help you pass through them,” she said.

Working with friend Nicole Norman, freshman, the two produced five photos on the emotions loneliness, repetition, anger, release, and freedom.
