Another year of the CREST-Jane Goodall Science Symposium (ISEF) has come around. Open to the public starting at 5:30 p.m, the fair will take place in the Auxiliary Gym. Dr. Jim Hutchison, professor at the University of Oregon and tonight’s speaker, will give a presentation about green nanotechnology starting at 7 p.m. Awards will commence between 8:30 p.m and 9 p.m.
Over 100 WLHS students participated in this event this year, with over 180 students total in the district. Led by the district coordinator, Amy Schauer, who has been doing these fairs for more than seven years, students will showcase eight months’ worth of scientific research.
If interested in a wide variety of topics, including energy generation from rain power, the use of pH to kill E.coli bacteria, and the effect of sound on sleep, be sure to attend the fair.

Throughout the game, the Lions knew that it wasn’t just about their victory today. “I think [playing for cancer] makes it bigger than just a game,” McGraw said. “Knowing that you have a bigger impact in this world than just who you are as one person.”](https://wlhsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/I70A1454-1-1200x800.jpg)
