Carla Khoury, senior, is the first Deb to make the team since 2015.

For the first time in seven years the Debutantes dance team, better known as the Debs, will be represented on the Oregon All-State dance team. The team was announced March 10, and Carla Khoury, senior, was selected along with seven other dancers to the 6A team. There are three All-State teams, one for each level of high school dance in the state 1A to 6A, which are determined by the student populations of each school.

Print Editor-in-Chief Audrey Lippert sits down with Khoury to discuss being selected for the Oregon All-State dance team, and her reaction to the accomplishment. Khoury also talks about what it means to her coaches and team, as well as the impact dance has had in her life and on her high school experience.
