Orion Forest

Orion Forest, Sports Co-Editor

“I love watching sports almost as much as I love to play sports,” Orion Forest, junior, said. “I have always been interested in sports journalism and documentation of sports events.”

Forest enjoys playing basketball competitively or just with his friends. He also enjoys being outside, whether that be playing basketball or going biking. “Basketball really helped me be comfortable and confident at school,” Forest said.

His drive in sports also sparked an interest in sports journalism. “I love watching sport games and I find sports photography really interesting, that’s what led me to journalism.”

Forest saw journalism as an opportunity to explore his writing skills, and develop new skills in interviewing and video editing.

“I’m really excited learn a lot of writing skills and social skills through journalism,” Forest said. “I can’t wait to see where journalism takes me.”
