Every year people flock to haunted houses and scary movies around this time of year and we were wondering; what is your scariest Halloween memory?

Hope Gilbert, freshman:
“Some guy jumped out and scared me, and I was so scared I turned around and punched him in the face.”

Victoria Velasquez, sophomore:
“I went to Fright Town this year and I got attacked by a zombie.”
Aaron Nelson, junior:
“A man in a van offered me candy.”
Robert Mollusky, senior:
“When I was young and trick-or-treating, some guy jumped out of a bush and sprayed me with Silly String.”

The students brought a variety of paints and mixed their own custom colors. “Instead of brushstrokes, we’re doing more dabbing, because it gives [a] better impression of tree foliage, rather than looking like actual brush strokes, because if we’re painting trees, we need it to look like trees,” Crawford said.](https://wlhsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/IMG_2397-1200x900.jpg)

Ruth Offer, Chalk Walk organizer, brought this tradition from Wyoming in an attempt to make use of the renovated sidewalks of Willamette Falls Dr. “[This is] a community event for the kids,” Offer said.](https://wlhsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-12-1200x803.png)

When I was 9 I was asked by a creepy man if I wanted to travel to Halloween town. Which was one of my favorite movies when I was younger but I did not know it was not a real place. I answered yes and the man said “Okay I will take you there,Get in we would be there shortly!” I screamed and ran away then fell flat on my face about 10 feet away from the creepy man and he helped me up and said “You should be careful, you could get hurt.” then the man got in his car and drove away. He was really scary. Thinking about it know I do not really know what was going through that Mans mind.
