Last night’s Fire in Camassia quickly extinguished
A fire last night behind West Linn High School near the Tripp Lot occurred at about 9 p.m. in Camassia Natural Area. It was quickly put out by the West Linn Fire Department. No students were involved, and the person who accidentally started the fire was the one who called 9-1-1.
“With our recent weather that area is quite dry and brittle, and I understand the fire was quite big,” Lou Bailey, principal, said. “But it was put out very quickly and did not spread.”
